There are a lot of things that go into rescuing a dog. Whether it’s a litter of abandoned puppies or a bad spirit abused and neglected, we thrive on giving credit at the right time. That’s why we celebrate February’s most heartfelt stories, and give our huge thanks to the people who made them happen.
from the bottom of our hearts, Thanks To make us eat like children, and to give these dogs a chance to find happiness. Please click the blue links for the full, teary eyed tales.
1. A Pit Bull puppy gives all the kisses after just losing her leg in a train accident
Officer Kevin McMullen calculated that he would recover the body of a dog hit by a train one day, but what he found was nothing short of miraculous. When she picked up Pittie who had lost a leg and some of her tail, she used whatever strength she had to give him many gentle kisses.
Since the accident, Molly has endured the recovery process beautifully. Naturally, now Officer McMullen calls her adoptive father.

2. A puppy plaid on a shelter fence in sub-zero temps makes a remarkable recovery
The owners of the Vespa decided that when they no longer wanted it, the best option was to drop it on the nearest shelter fence. She had nothing but a jump around her collar and no other choice but to sit and wait in the freezing cold. What the shelter workers don’t understand is that they were going to open in an hour, but this person couldn’t wait.
A staff member happened to arrive early and I heard her cries, and now Vespa has an older big puppy brother and two of the best puppy parents around.

3. An officer who fell miserably in love with the rescue helped the puppy
Unforeseen circumstances brought Officer Montgomery to the local Animal Welfare Society, but he did not expect what he would receive in return. In a story more about the love between two, this guy completely fell in love with one black and white cutie.
Dubbed “Kylo” (to help with the bond between brother Vader, of course), the little pup was left with his siblings in a crate outside of the night. Somehow he survived the freezing temperatures, but now he’ll never know what it’s like to be cold again.

4. The older male finds comfort after the family leaves her behind for the younger ones
Elderly grandmother Cookie and her younger mate end up in the shelter when they move out of their home. In a disastrous turn of events, the owners decided to take their other puppy and leave Cookie behind, perhaps no longer wanting to supervise her care in her golden years.
Bad face Cookie when she realized what happened shook us all at once, especially knowing she was battling cancer and other health concerns. Fortunately, she is finally in a stable and stable position to live out her days in comfort.

5. A lost pit bull saved itself by jumping into the nearest police car
Ah yes. The old hit from the lost victim, looking for the helpful police officer, strikes again. I’m kidding, of course, but this big red Pittie sure knew what to do when she couldn’t find her humans. In the equivalent of a grocery store clerk calling out the mother of a missing child on a megaphone, employee Taylor took her in a big step and was able to find the legitimate human pup.

6. The puppy is waiting home in his jacket after months in the kennel
Bobby and the Christmas Sweater took the world by storm when Miami Dad Animal Services posted his faithful photo to Facebook. He was given in by his family just before the holidays, and the shelter he was giving him a cute sweater attracted potential users. Months passed, and Bobby was soon listed as a “code red”.
Within days of the Facebook post, a woman offered to take him home, and now he has the best job in the world: getting adored all day long by the people at the local senior center.

7. A dog found with paws frozen to the floor gets the care it needs and deserves
Tied with a chain to a tree in Brooklyn, New York, Bindi was subject to freezing temperatures and no food or water. When a woman watched her dogs walk the near-visible puppy, she realized the puppy’s feet were bleeding and frozen to the ground. I wrapped her in a coat and took Bindi home, where Sean Casey Animal Rescue saw her on Facebook and gave her some much needed care.
Doctors discovered that Bindi had anemia, a stomach ulcer, a cherry eye, and pieces of metal in her stomach, but that she was getting better every day.

8. The vet comforts a frightened dog rescue to show everything will be fine
A little bull pup named Graycie avoids being a minimalistic being because of his bad posture. Starved and dehydrated, she suffered from hypothermia and painful vaginal prolapse. After emergency medical care, Dr. Mathis returned her to his clinic where she began an unusually fast recovery.
He warmed everyone’s hearts with a video posted by Granite Hills Animal Care of him sitting down with Graycie at her home for breakfast. His company felt so good in such a strange and unfamiliar setting, and his level of dedication was simply amazing.

9. A vice stops a bulldog from bleeding to death with his bare hands
Almost another victim of a domestic feud case, Daisy Bulldog had her throat snapped by a woman after she had already killed her husband, Pit Bull. When Deputy Junli returned to the scene that same day, he didn’t hesitate to stop the bleeding with his bare hands, which ultimately saved the dog’s life.
Daisy immediately relaxed until help arrived. She is forever grateful for her heroic deputy and is now safe and living with one of her former sons.

10. THE DOG “TURNED TO STONE” TURNED COMPLETELY THANKS TO KIND RESCUE
A severe case of mange had turned Petra almost to stone before an ordeal lasting several days led to her successful capture. She has been roaming the streets for years and finds no comfort in human touch. It was not surprising that she was afraid of people.
One of the volunteers made it her mission to get this pup ready for a forever home, and before we knew it, Petra was on her back giving belly rubs and giving thankful kisses. She is anxiously awaiting the day her family will choose her as her next boyfriend.

11. A dog attached to a tree when the owner “wasn’t interested in taking care of him” finds a miracle
Ganesha, named for the god of overcoming obstacles, lived out his days chained in a courtyard by himself. You could see every bone in his body, though all he wanted was someone to show him the slightest bit of sympathy. And four of his classmates came nearby to see the puppy and he ended up with them.
Baths, coconut oil, and tons of hugs and kisses are just a few things he has enjoyed since his rescue, and the money raised for Ganesha’s care exceeded their goal. His rescuers love him so much, and plan to donate the surplus animals to other animals in need.

12. A puppy shot 18 times with a BB gun has the best friend any little man could want
Betty Brody lay bleeding near an apartment complex after two teens shot him repeatedly with a BB gun. They have since been found guilty of animal cruelty, but Brody has a lot going for him to be happy about. It’s the talk of the town, and with over a hundred adoption applications, one has risen above the rest.
The shelter found the family unexpectedly quickly, but when they saw the instant bond between the puppy and the 10-year-old girl, that was it.

13. A biker intervened to save a dog being brutally beaten
When Brandon Turnbow passed a man punching and shaking his dog on the side of the road, he turned his motorcycle to do something about it. The cruel owner drove away, but what he left was a small dog struggling for breath from the attack and about to walk into traffic.
Turnbow spoke softly and held him up for a bit before loading him onto his bike and heading home. His father called the puppy “Mr. Davidson” to compliment their two dogs, Harley, and the three have been inseparable ever since. Best of all, Turnbow wants to use the positive response to Mr. Davidson’s story to start an organization called Bikers Against Animal Abuse Global.

14. A little puppy left out in the cold wears baby socks to stay warm
Sure, Little Arthur is a sight to behold in Tweety Bird’s chic sock coat, but that’s because he’s way too small to match with anything else. He was abandoned at 6 weeks old and ran well below normal temperature for a dog. Looking for a way to keep him warm, the deputy director of the RSPCA cut holes in some of the children’s socks and pinned Arthur at once.
He’s certainly stylish with his new strands and gorgeous head, and now he’s ready to settle into his new home.

15. A dog rescued from depression is put on the euthanasia list after someone sees him BarkPost story
A taller resident of the shelter was about to lose his life simply because he got depressed. He began banging his head against the walls in desperation, seemingly losing hope that she would be saved. Well, Coffee is a fun person, and after his post gained attention on our site, the Rescue Plan stepped in to help him.
Some dogs just need a little warning to be saved. As for the coffee, which was close to euthanasia, there is no need to fear for his life again.
