Summer is finally starting to swing, which means long hot days, lake cruises, and of course, baseball!
If baseball is America’s pastime and dogs are man’s best friend, then naturally dogs love baseball as well. Here’s a group of pups who just can’t wait for baseball season — even if they don’t quite understand it. 😉
1. This golden keen loves helping his favorite team by serving as bat boy…I mean bat dog.

2. Even though summer is here, toys can still be cool. Luckily this pup has a nice jacket to keep him warm.

3. With his amazing leaping and catching, this pooch hopes to be drafted next season by his favorite team, the New York Muts.

4. Sometimes dogs like to get worked up so much that they take to the field! This pup has the speed to be a major heartthrob.

6. Unfortunately, some pups have a hard time telling real baseball from video games. The results are hilarious.

7. This dog loves the view from the rooftop!

8. These dogs always get excited to “take your pup to a ball game.”

9. “Hey, they may not be the best seats, but I hope I can get the ball home…and then bury it when we get home.”

10. Of course, when you bring a game, one must enjoy the delicacy on offer! After this pup found out that the “hot dog” wasn’t what it seemed, she devoured it.

11. The arbitrator must let this dog know that he cannot obstruct the base course during play.

12. First time on the court is always a great occasion…and the photobomber below is pretty awesome too.

13. Some dogs have baseball’s most loyal owners. When pitcher Mark Poerell was traded from Miami to Toronto, he said he would play there but wouldn’t call it home. This is because the American Staffordshire Terrier is banned in the province of Ontario, which includes Toronto. Bührle loves his dog!

14. Although he’s still young, this puppy is on his way to becoming a great soccer player!

15. Of course, this. I mean, what can I say? This is just pure greatness.

16. Some dogs are already so famous, they’ve been immortalized with a bobble teddy head! Pitcher David Price’s Astro is a fan favorite.

17. We must always remember the dog that pioneered the way for pups in sport. He is a Hall of Famer basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, and baseball.
