We’ve all heard the discussion about Photoshop and photo editing – has it become too much? Is he “lying” to viewers? Post-processing in the fashion world was viewed very negatively, but added a touch of glamor to this photographer’s conceptual pet portraits.
Meet Jessica Trinh, a 19-year-old girl and schoolgirl from Orange County, California.

Now take a look at some of her pics of her adorable villains…

impressed? We sure were!
Jessica began photographing her first dog, Chubby, at the age of thirteen. “My parents gave me my first Powershot and I was the bee’s knee!” I started with basic portrait shots of Chuppy and had him pose on bridges, under a tree, and in front of walls. “I guess you could say I was just pretending to play photographer,” she says.

But her amazing Chuppy shots definitely reflected her professional quality shots. “After a few years of training, I started testing the editing process and started teaching myself how to use Photoshop. I only knew the basics but it turned out to be very useful to me!”

Jessica now has three dogs — Kodi, Daisy, and Aiko. Cody came to her from a hoarding situation a few weeks after Chubby’s death. “We all realized that not having a goldfish is no way to live,” she says. Cody is only 5 months old now but is a very calm puppy, and acts as a handsome little model for Jessica’s stunning photos. “His favorite thing to do is go to the beach and do fetch – he’s actually a master at fetch for being so young!” Also Aiko and Daisy, Jessica’s two other pups, also tag along in her photo adventures.

For Jessica, a photo shoot isn’t just about taking pictures. “I hope to turn pet photography into an art form. I’ve noticed that pet photography has been very consistent lately, whether it’s just pet portraits or cute pictures. I thought it would be nice to see some pet friendly photography sprinkled in the world of photography. “

As a photographer with inspirational photography, Jessica says she is inspired by everyday activities and being part of the photography community. “It’s so amazing how anything can inspire you to take action and create something beautiful.”
