Balki Bones

A post shared by Balki Bones (3legged Havanese) (@balkibones) at

If there’s one thing we can learn from our canine pals, it’s how to keep the coupons going no matter what life throws at you. Take Balki Bones, for example, the lovable Havanese puffer dog who, after being hit by a vehicle, had to cut off one of his front legs. However, that smile didn’t touch Balki’s face, nor, judging from her videos, did it even slow her down. Follow Balki for a daily dose of adorable inspiration.

Sir Charles Barclay

A post shared with SirCharlesBarkley the Frenchie (@barkleysircharles) at

We’re sure this super cute French Bulldog only brings sun to his hometown of Seattle. Like his name suggests, Barkley is an avid sports fan and often gets around to carrying his favorite teams’ logos and sports gear. If you have an affinity for bulldogs, sports, or Seattle, Sir Charles Barkley is your go-to Instagram feed.

menswear dog (body)

A post shared by Menswear Dog (@mensweardog) on

No doubt about it, Menswear Dog is easily the hottest dude in town. I mean, this dog was probably better dressed than the majority of humans he meets on the street. Naturally, “menswear dog” is a nickname given to Buddy Shibu Inoue by his parents, Dave and Yina, who realized their son had huge male potential. If you’re a dog-loving fashionista, follow Dr. Pronto.

Digby and Aloysius Van Winkle

A post shared by Digby & Aloysius Van Winkle ❤ (@digbyvanwinkle)

This dog duo from New Zealand boasts over 300,000 followers, and it’s not hard to see why. Not only will you see Digby and Aloysius gussied in cute costumes (often like Ewoks), but these Griffons are also pros at hitting the perfect pose! You’ve seriously got to see ’em to believe ’em.

tuna

A post shared by Tuna {breed: chiweenie} (@tunameltsmyheart)

This quirky little Chiweenie with her signature vein and curvy chin might not be classically cute, but her tuna melts our hearts all over it. Follow her Instagram account (which equals parts heartwarming and humorous) and you’ll see why. Tuna’s also got an online store with plenty of products that carry her toothy grin like iPhone cases, mugs, calendars, and a new book about it. As a rescue adopted at the Los Angeles farmers market, she has become a poster puppy for dog shelters around the world.

Maru

A post shared by Shinjiro Ono (@marutaro) on

Anyone who can look into Maru’s hilarious mug (pictured above) and suppress a smile is one tough dog biscuit. We’re sure the heck you can’t do that. And that’s exactly why Maru Taro, the infectiously smiling Shiba Inu from Japan, has put it on her bucket list. Frustrated or feeling let down? Follow Maru. bubble. instant happiness.

Marni

A post shared by Marnie the Dog (@marniethedog) on

Well, we are suckers for rescue dog success stories, which is why Marnie could not have been left off our list. With the exception of perhaps the tuna, Marnie’s Shih Tzu is one of the most instantly recognizable Instagram dog out there. One look at her tilted head (from a condition called vestibular syndrome) and the long tongue permanently sticking out of her toothless mouth and you’re sure not to forget her face! He was rescued when she was about ten years old, and given the name “Stinky” by Animal Control due to the annoying funk emanating from her rotting teeth. A true tuft to the tale, Stinky (also blind in one eye) was renamed Marnie by her mom, and her quirky looks made her one of the most famous dogs on all of the internets. Way to go!

Cookie (from Pumpkins and Sunshine)

A post shared by live streaming (@ps.ny)

Cookie is the Miniature Dog / Teddy Bear is the star of “Pumpkins” and “Sunshine,” a sweet Instagram account shot by mother-daughter team Opie and Lara Saunders from New York City. A professional illustrator is the mother of 13-year-old Lara, an amazingly talented young artist, and Cookie’s “sister” Cookie, a little dog who looks like a stuffed animal come to life. The featured images of Pumpkin and Sunshine usually feature Cookie and Lara living the chic life in the big city.

Buddy and Boo

A post shared by Buddy Boo Blue (@buddyboowaggytails) at

Internet success story that got from a bad hair day? Yes, that’s exactly what happened with Boo (who was the cutest dog in the world) whose “wrong” hair cut led to over 580,000 Instagram followers and over 16 million (yes, million) fans among all social media channels. However, let’s not forget Bo’s lesser known friends but the adorable stunner who shares the spotlight on Instagram. The story behind the famous cut? Boo’s thick, curly hair (thicker than most of her breed) was particularly prone to friction, so (Jennifer’s owner obliged), a nanny was forced to cut it short. Little did anyone know that this Boo spin-off and Boo’s subsequent “fame” would become the stuff of Internet lore .
