Forget the Super Bowl. The 13th annual Puppy Bowl is the game to watch!
Some people mistakenly wait all year for the Super Bowl, anxiously anticipating everything from commercials to halftime shows to MVP.
But Animal Planet and Pedigree have paired up once again to bring the cutest pups onto the playground as they battle for the 13th Puppy Bowl. The Puppy Bowl is designed to not only bring some hilarious fun to the old Super Bowl, but to work with animal shelters and rescue groups across the country to bring awareness and promote adoption.

This year’s bowl features 78 small solid titans, who come from 34 different organizations in 22 states. Three of the puppies are special needs, proving that you can’t judge a dog by its fluff, and they will be divided into two teams – Ruff and Fluff. There will also be some pet appearances, with the likes of Punxsutawney Phil, who will star as tin coss, and Clobri-dogs Chloe the Mini Frenchie, Chloe Kardoggian, Ella Bean, Marnie the Dog, Manny the Frenchie, and Mervin the Chihuahua and many others.
The tail action will start on Animal Planet at 2:00 PM. EST on February 5, 2017, with a game start at 3 p.m. EST. The team with the most points will win, but let’s face it… everyone’s going to be stealing our hearts! If you like your “kitten-cam” on Animal Planet, we guarantee there will be a “really” comment!

From Team Fluff—Oliver, a popular 12-week-old Poodle and Blitz, a 15-week-old Golden Retriever mix, aka the Blonde Squad.
From Team Ruff – Squirt, a 12-week-old Dachshund/Terrier mix and Bo, a 15-week-old Parson Russell Terrier, the black and white attack represents.
From Team Fluff – Winston, a 14-week-old Australian Shepherd and Peanut, a 19-week-old Brussels Griffon, both bring intimidating eyes to their team.
From Team Ruff—Woody, an 18-week-old Blue Heeler mix and Smooshie, a 12-week-old Sharpei, they don’t want their mugs to fool you; Fur will fly with their defense!
From Team Ruff – Winter, a 14-week-old Jack Russell Terrier Mix and Foster, a 19-year-old Burmese, both running for MVP (Most Pooch Valuable)!
From Team Fluff – Archimedes, a 15-week-old Otterhound mix and Lucky, a 16-week-old Terrier mix. It packs a one-two punch that’s guaranteed to warn the other team’s mind!
