Semi is now launching a campaign to bring some positive attention to shelter dogs with disabilities and their unique traits. With a pair of these super cute socks, you can sport a mug likeness on those human paws of yours! If enough socks are sold, a percentage of the proceeds will be donated to some of Semi’s favorite organizations, like Deaf Dogs Rock and the Inland Valley Humane Society, where they’re adopted.

Three years ago, a gorgeous white Boxer puppy of a very fine breed entered the world. Her face was wrinkled and her coat speckled To die forBut when the breeder discovered she was deaf, they wanted nothing to do with the disabled dog. She found herself quickly and unsheltered in a shelter and infested with ticks.
The human, Farrah Marks, entered the Inda Valley Society not long after, and it only took one look to complete the deal. This dog was hers before the adoption papers were signed.
The two live happily together in sunny California, where this dog is crazy A tongue whose length is up for an official title by Guinness World Records. merely a look in this thing!
“She doesn’t seem to have problems that affect her too negatively,” she says, “but she purrs every time she chews or drinks water,” and I imagine the area around her bowl has an invisible “wet floor” sign. On site at all times.
Semi enjoys swimming – both with company and on her own, we regularly have tea parties in the backyard, and she also enjoys dressing up. If she sees me wearing a jacket or even a necklace she will sit across from me and wait until I give her something to wear. It’s a roller coaster, but I truly believe this is what helped me through…the obstacles life threw at me.
I wanted a puppy, a responsibility, and something to take care of that wasn’t myself…well, I’ll admit, I’d never heard of white Boxers before her! I felt like I could relate to her, and she could relate to me.
However, it remains a mystery as to why dogs with disabilities or unusual characteristics are ignored. To be honest, I think saws (and bipawds!), deaf pups, or funky “cute” canines make great friends. they have LetterAnd we have love and a sense of humor to let go With them let it shine.
So what is The best A way to convince people of super amazing friends that puppies are “unconventional”? Spread the word! Talk about them. Share your experiences. There are many more dogs looking for homes, and many more who have a more difficult time doing so.
I feel like I owe something to Semi…you saved my life, it will always be the best decision I ever made. I want to feel like I’ve done everything I can to give and give trying to give dogs “disabilities” or “weird traits” a chance to prove he can be man’s best friend as much as the next puppy.
